The signing ceremony for the Chinese headquarters of Belgium's Agio Group took place in Wuxi National Hi-tech District, also known as Xinwu district, in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province on Dec 11.

Agio Group serves clients across major global markets and has completed dozens of financial due diligence projects and cross-border business start-up projects for over 300 European companies. These projects span the realms of finance, commerce, law, accounting, and auditing, solidifying Agio Group's reputation as a comprehensive business service provider.

A managing partner from Agio Group said the group aims to firmly root itself in Wuxi and develop it into a vital economic, trade, and technological exchange platform for Belgium in China.

To fortify collaboration on industrial projects, Xinwu district and Agio Group plan to jointly establish a QFLP (Qualified Foreign Limited Partner) investment fund.

Cui Rongguo, Party secretary of Xinwu, highlighted that the district has evolved into a hub of significant international influence for European investments. As of 2022, 166 European companies had registered in the district, cumulatively investing 15 billion euros ($16.17 billion).

Frank Van Eynde, trade commissioner for the Flemish Region at the Consulate General of Belgium in Shanghai, expressed admiration for Xinwu district's professional, efficient, and pragmatic government work. He sees much potential for development here and announced plans to organize a delegation of Belgian high-tech companies to explore opportunities in Wuxi, further promoting collaboration between China and Belgium.
