E-Quality Intelligent Technology starts building headquarters in WND

E-Quality Intelligent Technology, a high-tech company specializing in automotive electronic control units (ECU), recently took a significant step forward when it held the groundbreaking ceremony for its headquarters project in Wuxi National Hi-tech District, or Wuxi New District, on Dec 8.

The headquarters project represents a total investment of 300 million yuan ($41.86 million), with a planned construction area of 44,000 square meters. It will feature an intelligent manufacturing factory and laboratories authorized by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). The production base is expected to manufacture 1 million control units annually.

E-Quality and Cummins, a US-based power solution provider, recently invested in a joint venture – Kangzhuo Electronics (Wuxi) Co Ltd. Their combined efforts are expected to yield an additional output value exceeding 1 billion yuan upon reaching full production capacity.

WND is a pivotal manufacturing hub for automotive components in the Yangtze River Delta region, boasting a concentration of industries for engines, accessories, automotive electronics, and chassis systems. In 2022, the district was home to 111 above-designated-scale auto part enterprises which generated an output value of 95 billion yuan, accounting for 46 percent of Wuxi's total.

In recent years, WND has begun to shape itself into a new energy vehicle components industrial cluster, focusing on areas such as power batteries, intelligent connected vehicles, and hydrogen fuel cells.
