Local authorities of Nantong in East China's Jiangsu province plan a show tour of two stage shows at local universities, according to the local municipal bureau of culture, broadcast, television, and tourism.

The two stage shows are Tremendous Changes – Our Woyu Island and The Sparkling City.

The former was written by Mo Xia from Shanghai Yueju Opera Theater and is directed by Lu Ang, a professor at Shanghai Theater Academy. The show focuses on the protection of the Yangtze River, showcasing the coexistence between human beings and the river.

From impoverished to well-off, from fish catcher to fish protector, from selling fish fry to no fishing, the struggles of Jiang and Bai families living along the Yangtze River mirror the protection of the river.
