Innovation, entrepreneurship competition takes place in NHIZ

The eighth Tongzhou innovation and entrepreneurship competition took place at the Jianghai Innovation Park in the Nantong National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Nantong, Jiangsu province on Nov 25.

This year's competition, involving 300 projects from around the world, saw a rigorous selection process, leading to a final showdown with 12 entrepreneurial teams making it to the grand finale. The teams focused on diverse fields such as artificial intelligence, new materials technology, and intelligent manufacturing.

The finals followed an engaging pitch format, allowing each participating team eight minutes for a presentation and five minutes for interactive feedback from the judges. Evaluation criteria included team capabilities, technological innovation, industrial prospects, and feasibility. The competition culminated in one first-place prize, three second-place prizes, and eight third-place prizes.

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to watch promotional videos showcasing the NHIZ and a recap of the competition. The district's talent office also provided insights into the talent development environment in Tongzhou.

According to the event, the rapid growth of emerging industries in Tongzhou can be attributed to a longstanding commitment to respecting and promoting talent. Looking ahead, Tongzhou plans to enhance support through policies, platforms, and services. This includes intensifying efforts in talent introduction and comprehensive support as well as establishing an all-around guarantee mechanism.
