The first MYLake Aerospace Information Industry International Ecosystem Event 2023 was held in Chongqing on Nov 20-21. More than 1,000 representatives from 434 companies in the industrial chain, 67 domestic and foreign academic institutions, as well as some 1,000 government officials from Chongqing and other regions in China attended.
During the event, the International Alliance of Aerospace was launched as China's first aerospace information community.
Moreover, a 100-billion-yuan ($13.94 billion) fund for the aerospace information industry was inaugurated and various aerospace information application scenarios were launched in Chongqing.
The event was hosted by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and organized by the International Alliance of Aerospace and the Chinese Society of Astronautics.
Based on the values of openness, inclusiveness, and trust, the event aimed to create a global platform for exchange and cooperation, seeking innovative solutions to the challenges facing the aerospace information industry.
The founding of the International Alliance of Aerospace aims to promote the deep integration of government, industry, academia, research, and investment. It was also built to facilitate international cooperation and industrial synergy, with the participation of industry insiders, well-known companies, investment institutions, research institutions, universities, and other organizations.

Attendees included Christian Feichtinger, secretary-general of the International Astronautical Federation; Olivier Contant, an academician of the International Academy of Astronautics; Bill Roscoe, founding dean of the Department of Computer Science, University of Oxford; and Greg Wyler, founder of E-space; as well as other top international experts and representatives from famous companies.
"In any successful cooperation, openness, trust, and inclusiveness are necessary, and it is no different in aerospace information," said Olivier Contant.
The aerospace information industry is expected to reach a scale of $1 trillion in the near future, with a long industrial chain and wide-ranging involvement that requires collaboration from all parties involved.
