The Huangpu district of Guangzhou recently saw the initiation and completion of several medical projects, which are aimed at providing local residents with higher standard medical services.

These projects include the construction of new comprehensive hospitals, an ophthalmology hospital, and other specialized medical institutions.

Among them is the Guangzhou Gaobo Research Hospital and Medical Industry Transformation Platform project, located in China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City. The hospital will include 550 beds, with 80 percent allocated for domestic and international clinical trials of innovative medical devices and medicines.

It will cover an area of about 40,000 square meters and have a construction area of approximately 120,000 sq m, including outpatient and inpatient areas, medical technology departments, and laboratories.

Additionally, the Guangzhou Huangpu Yinhai Eye Hospital has opened. This specialized ophthalmology hospital integrates traditional Chinese and Western medicine, relying on the "Eye Health Project" and the "2020 Love Your Eyes Plan" to provide comprehensive eye health management services.

Finally, the Guangzhou 12th People's Hospital's Huangpu campus now has a stable supply of electricity, providing a solid foundation for subsequent operations. The new hospital district is positioned as a comprehensive hospital focusing on the treatment of occupational diseases, with a total construction area of about 141,200 sq m and a planned 800 beds.

The construction and upgrading of these projects signify an improvement in the quality of medical services in Huangpu, allowing residents to enjoy higher standards of healthcare right at their doorstep.
