Anniversary exhibition in Nanjing chronicles epic Chinese jade artifacts

More than 600 jade artifacts from the collections of over 40 museums across China, dating from the Neolithic period to the Qing Dynasty, are on display at the Nanjing Museum, unveiling an epic scroll of Chinese jade until January of 2024. [Photo/IC]

Chinese jade culture has undergone over 10,000 years of refinement over the course of Chinese civilization’s development and growth, resulting in an impressive and vibrant history.

A well-curated exhibition at the Nanjing Museum currently celebrates the 90th anniversary of the founding of the museum, unveiling an epic scroll of Chinese jade artifacts spanning from the Neolithic period to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Travel through history and explore the glorious transformation of jade’s function, design and craftsmanship. The exhibition will run until January of 2024!
