WND a role model in undertaking CIIE's spillover effects

Wuxi New District in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, shared the title of the best demonstration district in undertaking the spillover effects of the CIIE from 2022 to 2023 together with eight other districts.

The result was announced at the sixth China International Import Expo Spillover Effects Forum on Nov 7.

Starting from CIIE's first edition in 2018, WND has organized more than 1,500 local enterprises to participate in the expo and over 6,000 people from WND have attended.

More than 100 exhibitors that have an investment in WND have set up booths at the CIIE and the district has facilitated purchase orders of intent valued at over $3 billion since the inaugural year.

In recent years, WND has played an active role in undertaking the spillover effects of the CIIE and improved its opening-up level. In 2022, the actual use of foreign capital in WND was $1.35 billion, accounting for one third of the city's total and the district's imports and exports rose to a record high of $58.26 billion.
