Wuxi, EU yield fruitful results in industrial cooperation

The 2023 EU-China (Wuxi) Industrial Innovation and Cooperation Conference convened in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on Nov 8 to boost Chinese and EU enterprises' cooperation in technology, industries, education, and industrial park construction.

The conference witnessed the signing of 28 projects with a combined investment of nearly 2 billion euros ($2.14 billion) involving strategic and emerging industries such as the IoT and auto parts.

The China-EU Industrial Innovation Zone in Wuxi was launched at the conference to continue strengthening the cooperation between Wuxi and renowned EU MNCs on industrial investment as well as the innovation cooperation between the city and the institutes, universities and business associations in members of EU.

The EU Project Innovation Center (Wuxi), Fraunhofer Sino-German (Wuxi) Innovation Center, and EU-China Vaccine Research and Industry Collaboration Center were also inaugurated at the event.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the EU. A Yangtze River Delta region city, Wuxi boasts the largest number of enterprises invested by EU businesses.

The city's leader made promises at the conference that Wuxi will offer the strongest support and most efficient services to entrepreneurs and visionaries who start local businesses or invest locally.
