Xi'an seeks cooperation with multinational corporations in Shanghai

The 2023 Dialogue of Xi'an and Multinational Corporations in Shanghai was held on Nov 6 during the sixth China International Import Expo (CIIE), which is being held in Shanghai on Nov 5-10.

Hosted by the Xi'an municipal bureau of investment cooperation, the event invited guests from renowned multinational companies and business associations were to discuss development, carry out targeted exchanges, and explore investment cooperation opportunities, promoting the industrial development and the improvement of the business environment in Xi'an.

For Xi'an, the CIIE provides an important international stage for international procurement, investment promotion, cultural exchanges, and open cooperation.

Huang Qiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Xi'an Municipal Committee and deputy mayor of Xi'an, stated that over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, more than 200 Fortune Global 500 companies have invested in Xi'an, injecting continuous momentum into the city's social and economic development.

The deputy mayor hopes that through the dialogue, multinational corporations will actively participate in the development of Xi'an's modern industrial system. Xi'an will continue working to improve its investment environment for multinational companies.

During the CIIE, the Xi'an trade delegation will also arrange a series of economic and trade promotion activities to share development opportunities and promote cooperative development.

Xi'an will take advantage of the CIIE to participate in global cooperation with a more open and confident attitude, build a higher-level and more distinctive modern industrial system, and achieve high-quality development.
