Zhoushan secures two projects at 6th CIIE

Two companies from Zhoushan, Zhejiang province signed strategic cooperation agreements at the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) on Nov 5.

The expo will run until Nov 10.

According to the agreements, two projects with a combined investment of nearly 6.2 billion yuan ($852.27 million) will be launched in the city.

One project was signed by the Shengsi government and China Power Engineering Consulting Group Co (CPECC) and was focused on the exploration of renewable energy, including offshore wind power and electrical energy storage systems.

Li Gang, the assistant general manager of CPECC, said that construction of the project will commence by the end of this month.

The other project was inked by Zhejiang Petrochemical Co and French-based Schneider Electric SA to conduct in-depth cooperation in the development of security instrumentation system solutions for chemical new materials equipment.

Schneider Electric will provide Zhejiang Petrochemical with the SIS safety instrument system and facilities.

It will also assist Zhejiang Petrochemical in further deepening the "Industrial Internet + hazardous chemical safety production" technology system and application scenarios, enhancing the perception, assessment, monitoring, early warning, response, and disposal capabilities of safety production risks, and improving safety production and management levels.
