Global Key & Core Technology Conference kicks off in Xi'an

The 2023Global Key & Core Technology Conference, themed "Key & Core Technology · New Productivity Boosters", kicked off with a grand ceremony in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Nov 3, and will run until Nov 5.

The conference highlights the construction of the Xi'an Comprehensive National Science Center and the Science and Technology Innovation Center, showcasing typical cases, projects, and achievements in key and core technological innovation and development.

At the opening ceremony, the three-year achievements in the development of the national key and core technology innovation demonstration zone and measures to accelerate the industrialization of key and core technology in Xi'an were released.

Agreements were also signed for the development of a demonstration zone for the integration of schools, research institutes, and industrial parks to promote the development of "dual centers" in Xi'an.

Major breakthroughs in key and core technology in Xi'an were also announced at the conference. The breakthroughs cover six major areas: information technology, aerospace technology, new materials, new energy, high-end equipment, and life sciences.

In recent years, Xi'an has been improving its development system for key and core technology, hoping to become an important source of scientific and technological innovation.

Meanwhile, various activities will be held during the conference, including forums related to the construction of "dual centers", science and technology finance, and artificial intelligence, discussions with foreign experts, and investment promotion events.
