Ankang meeting held to promote Chinese-style modernization

The 2023 National High-tech Zone Innovation and Development Meeting and the 19th National High-tech Zone Development Strategy Research Annual Conference were held on Oct 31 and Nov 1 in Ankang National High-tech Zone, Shaanxi province in Northwest China.

The meeting and conference were held on Tuesday in Ankang city.

Leaders from the Party Working Committee and Management Committee of more than 70 national high-tech zones, provincial-level high-tech zones, and  industrial parks in China attended the meeting. Also present were heads of departments such as industry and information technology, human resources, enterprise services, policy research and statistics.

The High-tech Zone Meeting was the first time a high-tech zone forum was held in a poverty-stricken area.

Under the guidance and support of the Torch Center, the China High-tech Industry Herald, the National Science and Technology Revitalization City Economic Research Association, and the National High-tech Zone Development Strategy Research Association, this meeting, aimed to comprehensively implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

It also had the objective to deeply implement the strategic deployment of the National New Industrialization Promotion Conference, and further strengthen the strategic and forward-looking research of the National High-tech Zone, jointly discuss the high-quality development path of the National High-tech Zone in the new era, accelerate the upgrading of the new driving force and new advantages of the National High tech Zone, and contribute to the overall promotion of the Chinese path to modernization.

Ankang National High-tech Zone in Ankang city is one of China's national zones. It held the meeting for the first time.

The organizer of this event, Ankang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, was established in 2010 and approved by the State Council to upgrade to a national high-tech zone in 2015, with a planned control area of 120 square kilometers.

It is the first innovative characteristic park in the northwest region, one of the top 10 high-quality industrial parks in China, and a national foreign trade transformation and upgrading base approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is in the first batch of collaborative innovation zones in Shaanxi Pilot Free-Trade Zone and important node cities in the Hanjiang Ecological Economic Belt.
