Yantai emerges as China's most competitive exhibition city

Yantai, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province, was recently recognized as China's most competitive exhibition city in 2022.

Yantai's exhibition industry has in recent years experienced significant growth after the city undertook measures to develop a portfolio of renowned exhibition brands. These measures include upgrading existing events such as the International Fruit Vegetable Food Expo, International Wine Expo, and World Industrial Design Conference.

Moreover, Yantai has introduced new brand exhibitions like the 2023 Green Low-Carbon High-Quality Development Conference and the China Postdoctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Grand Finals. These events aimed to secure Yantai's position as a prominent hub for convention and exhibition services.

The growth of Yantai's exhibition industry is largely due to the city's ideal geographic location and extensive transportation system, as well as the influence of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Yantai Area and the Huang-Bohai New Area.
