The EU-China Hybrid B2B Matchmaking Session, a major part of the 2023 World Internet of Things (IoT) Exposition, took place at the European Union Project Innovation Center (Wuxi) in Wuxi's Xinwu district on Oct 23.

During the session, businesses and institutions from the IoT sector in both China and the European Union focused on areas like smart manufacturing, supply chain management, smart cities, artificial intelligence (AI), edge computing, and digital twinning, leading to 20 potential partnerships.

A significant part of the event was dedicated to the promotion of the China-Europe Industrial Innovation Zone. This zone is planned to cover an area of 24.5 square kilometers, and construction is already underway on a 100,000-square-meter high-standard facility, which is expected to be completed by May next year.

The zone is set to serve as a hub for international cooperation with countries such as Germany, France, and Switzerland, focusing on attracting advanced European companies in sectors like intelligent equipment, automotive components, and new energy.
