On Oct 25, the launching ceremony of the documentary shorts entitled "A Wonderland of Fine Wine Culture" was held in Yantai, Shandong province.

This captivating documentary consists of six chapters and 50 episodes, capturing the essence of Yantai wines through beautiful and natural imagery.

Starting from Oct 25, the documentary will be released in installments on popular new media platforms such as WeChat, Tik Tok, and Kwai, both domestically and internationally.

Yu Yongxin, chairman of the Yantai Municipal Committee of the CPPCC and head of the city's wine industry chain, said that Yantai has prioritized wine as one of the city's 16 industrial chains, and has introduced a series of policies and measures, set up special support funds, and given the whole industry optimal treatment and maximum support.

Yantai, the birthplace of China's wine industry, holds the distinction of being the only international grape-wine city in Asia. Currently, Yantai boasts a thriving wine industry with 204 production enterprises and 63 well-known wineries.

Prominent brands such as Changyu, Weilong, and Greatwall have contributed to the city's growing reputation, with the cumulative brand value reaching an impressive 86.02 billion yuan ($11.75 billion). Yantai has consistently maintained its top position in the geographical indications of products in the industry over the past seven years.

Over the next two days, leading journalists representing national, provincial, and municipal mainstream media outlets, including People's Daily and China News Service, along with industry media such as China Wine Online and international student representatives from Yantai universities, will embark on an in-depth exploration of the cultural significance of Yantai wines.
