Sun Pengxiang from Ordos city won gold in the men's javelin throw-F41 at the 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou on Oct 24.

Sun set a new world record with a distance of 48.46 meters, achieving his Grand Slam breakthrough in the men's javelin.

Sun has won prestigious awards in a number of high-profile events.

In 2019, he seized gold in the men's javelin throw-F41 at the 10th National Paralympic Games in Tianjin.

In 2021, during the 16th Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, he clinched gold in the same category and broke the world record.

This July, at the World Para Athletics Championships in Paris, Sun swept another gold to shatter his previous world record.
