Cultural training boosts fitness at the grassroots

Staff from the cultural center of Xiadian town in Zhaoyuan city, Shandong province, recently conducted an inaugural performance for cultural and artistic training to enrich local people’s lives.

The staff provided personalized instruction, sparking enthusiasm among participants. Their dedication was evident as some captured moments on their smartphones, creating an energetic atmosphere both on and off stage.

"The trainees are very enthusiastic, demonstrating a serious attitude and active engagement. They quickly grasped the square dance, which is suitable for different age groups and audiences. The dance is full of energy and passion, and it's well-received by the general public," said a trainer surnamed Yang from the cultural center.

The dance, suitable for diverse age groups, received a warm reception from the public. Trainees appreciated the professional guidance and vowed to promote square dance education.

During breaks, actors from the Swan Theater Troupe performed scenes from Lyu Opera, a beloved traditional genre known for its lively language and captivating music.

Xiadian has improved its public cultural services, offering technical expertise and one-on-one guidance in rural areas, making cultural participation more diverse and accessible. The local cultural activity centers, service stations, and activity squares have become more user-friendly, fostering an environment where culture thrives and enriches the community.
