Swedish MNC Beijer Electronics strengthens ties with WND

A delegation led by Jonas Steen, executive vice-president of Swedish electronics manufacturer Beijer and president of the group's Asia-Pacific region, recently paid a visit to Wuxi National Hi-tech Development Zone and expressed gratitude for the consistent support provided by the local government.

He also gave a comprehensive overview of Beijer's development and future plans in Wuxi. In his remarks, Steen underscored the critical role of the development zone, also known as Wuxi New District, as a vital research and manufacturing hub for the group in the Asia-Pacific region. He noted the remarkable business growth since the company's inception in Wuxi and the promising outlook for the future.

Steen also reiterated the group's commitment to aligning with China's carbon reduction initiative by increasing investments in Wuxi. The group aims to develop and produce more environmentally-friendly, energy-efficient, and low-carbon products to meet the demands of the Chinese and Asia-Pacific markets, he said.

Cui Rongguo, Party secretary of WND, acknowledged the positive contributions made by the group to the district's economic development and technological innovation. He expressed hopes of further deepening cooperation with the Swedish group, as well as the introduction of innovative, energy-efficient products and a heightened focus on local research and development.

Beijer is a globally-renowned wholesaler of air conditioning, heat pumps, refrigeration equipment, and components and operates in 43 countries around the world. Its Wuxi branch, established in 2000, specializes in the production and sale of refrigeration equipment for commercial and industrial applications. Notably, the company's series of compressors were used in the venues of the Beijing Winter Olympics.
