Ningbo athletes pocket 14 Asiad gold

Athletes from Ningbo, Zhejiang province has finished their Asian Games campaign with a record haul of 20 medals, which include 14 gold.

Eighteen athletes, including the Olympic champion Wang Shun, participated in 12 events of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, including swimming, gymnastics, badminton, bole vault, Go chess, dragon boat racing, shooting, cycling, bridge, and breakdancing.

The B-girl Zeng Yingying finished her performance at the women's breakdancing competition, ranking 4th on Oct 7, signaling that all athletes from Ningbo have finished their races at the Hangzhou Asian Games.

They clinched 20 medals – 14 gold, five silver and a bronze – at the Games, improving on its 2010 tally of 13 medals, which included nine gold.

Wang Shun and Yu Yiting took four and three gold respectively in swimming competitions. Li Ling renewed her own pole vault Games record to win her third straight gold. Ding Sijie and Sun Yang won three gold at the three dragon boat events. The shuttler Wang Chang, gymnast Zhang Xinyi and Go chess player Wang Yubo held the Chinese team win the team gold at the Games.
