Zhoushan shortlisted as safest city in Zhejiang

Zhoushan was rated the safest city in East China's Zhejiang province in August 2023, local media reported on Sept 26.

This is the fourth month in a row that the city has been rated as the safest in the province.

The ranking is based on a safety index, an indicator introduced by Zhejiang to measure the safety of cities in the province.

The index evaluates a city's safety in a variety of areas, including politics, society, finance, production, food, drugs, environment, internet, and information.

Zhoushan scored 97.86 points out of 100, followed by Huzhou and Jinhua.
