Wuxi elements shine at Hangzhou Asian Games

The 19th Asian Games will kick off in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on Sept 23. Wuxi businesses have made some contributions to the Games.

Jiangyin Sifang Swimming Rehabilitation Industry Co will dispatch employees to offer water polo technical support at the Huanglong Sports Center, as the company built the center's swimming pool.

Artificial turf provider Vivaturf is responsible for the 43,000 square meters of turfed area at the Asian Games Baseball and Softball Sports Cultural Center, marking the first time that artificial turf has been used for national matches in China.

Aerospace New Sky Technology Co has manufactured more than 200 automatic weather stations, which are expected to provide real-time wind field data for the Games. On Sept 5, it installed and debugged all the stations, which have been added to the Games' safeguard system.

Roter Fresh Air Technology Wuxi Co produced 74 pieces of heat recovery equipment to be used at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium, creating a comfortable environment for athletes from around the world.

Wuxi shipbuilders Wuxi Dongfang High-speed Craft Development Co and Wuxi Dongfang High-performance Ship Engineering Co have built cruise ships for the Games, while the radar water level indicators at the Wenzhou Dragon Boat Sports Center were developed by Smart Drive Sensing (Wuxi) Co.
