On Sept 19, after the 14th China-Mongolia Media Forum, over 60 Mongolian journalists embarked on a visit to Shandong. Their journey began in Yantai.

During the two-day tour, the visiting group went to many scenic spots including Yantai Mountain, Chaoyang street, Suochengli, Changyu Wine Culture Museum, and a pharmaceutical plant and experienced the charm and high-quality development of the coastal city.

One of the Mongolian journalists immersed herself in the quaint atmosphere in Yantai. Attracted to the creative stalls along the street, she and her colleagues selected several Laizhou brushes, a Shandong provincial intangible cultural heritage item. "This is my first time in Yantai. The scenery and traditional culture here are well preserved," she said.

The former vice-president of Montsame News Agency admired the architecture of the ancient streets. He delved into the traditional customs of Jiaodong and appreciated the diverse culture of Qishansuo through various displays. "The way Chinese people transform ancient buildings into tourist attractions is something that Mongolia can learn," he said.

The vice-president of Mongolia's journalist association and director of FM107 Radio was particularly impressed by the Changyu Wine Culture Museum, which showcases the 130-year history of the brand through interactive displays. After learning about the winemaking process, she selected a bottle of red wine for her family.

The vice-president of the association and president of amlalt.mn website said, "Wine is like the long-standing friendship between the two countries. We will share what we have seen with the Mongolian people, helping them better understand China."

After two days in Yantai, the president of the journalist association in Mongolia expressed willingness to establish news exchange and cooperation ties between Yantai and a Mongolian province. He also hopes Chinese media workers can visit Mongolia to enhance mutual communication.
