Intl students explore Zibo's 'chicken fat' yellow glazing techniques

A delegation of 11 international students from countries such as Angola, Georgia, Indonesia, South Korea, Pakistan, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom delved into Boshan district's "chicken fat" yellow glass art in Zibo city, Shandong province, on Sept 5.

Royal yellow glass art, dubbed "chicken fat" yellow glass art by Boshan locals, derives its name from its rich yellow color. This unique glass art variety is prized for its color, as its warm and inviting radiance has been likened to the glow of precious gemstones.

The foreign students were introduced to this art form, and they were enchanted by its inherent elegance and opulence. Each glass masterpiece was an exquisite spectacle of color and craftsmanship.

For South Korean student Park Seo-hee, this visit was a revelation. She exclaimed, "I had the privilege of seeing glass art up close for the very first time. I even had the opportunity to observe the meticulous handcrafting process. It's truly mesmerizing!"
