The country is moving ahead on the Chinese path of modernization in full swing and promoting high-standard opening up, which will provide new development opportunities for businesses from all nations, including Italy, Wang said.

China welcomes Italian businesses to increase trade and investment in China and to market their high-quality goods and services by leveraging trade events such as China International Import Expo and China International Consumer Products Expo, as trade and investment between China and Italy have huge growth potential to tap into, Wang added.

The role of working group on key foreign investment projects will be fully harnessed to improve services for foreign businesses, particularly Italian companies, and foster a favorable business environment, Wang said.

Tajani noted that China is a significant economic and trade partner of Italy, and the Italian government holds an optimistic outlook on advancing economic and trade ties with China in an effort to boost bilateral trade and advance balanced growth.

Italy welcomes Chinese businesses to invest in the country, and is willing to improve policy coordination and communication with China to improve business environment for foreign investment, Tajani said.
