Archaeological finds in Suzhou provide insight into history of local ancient town

The archaeological project of the Guojiacun site in Wuzhong district, Suzhou city, Jiangsu province, recently passed inspection. Seven ruins, dating from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), were excavated, during which tombs, ash pits and wells were discovered. A total of 17 relics were unearthed. The archaeological finds provide significant materials for research on the historical and social development of Mudu ancient town in Suzhou.
