Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province launched a campaign to attract more college graduates from the city on Aug 24, according to local media reports.

The city aims to collect data on 50,000 college students from the city, establish more than 10 service platforms and 50 digital service programs, and attract 40 percent of college graduates from the city to return to work or start businesses by the end of 2028.

To this end, authorities plan to set up liaison stations in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Wuhan to conduct policy briefings, job promotions, and city situation reports.

Authorities will also set up special service windows, dispatch employment service officers, and open hotlines for internships to provide better employment services to college graduates.

The local government has decided to channel more resources into building talent communities and youth hostels to aid in these efforts.

In addition, authorities will roll out a series of favorable policies, offering help in terms of archives transfer, skill training and social activities.

Those eligible can apply for housing subsidies, rental exemption, and special funds if they or their family members suffer from critical diseases.
