The Changguangxi National Wetland Park in Binhu district, Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province has become more accessible to local residents after its fences were dismantled.

With an area of about 375 hectares, the wetland park borders Junzhang Mountain in the west, Jiangnan University in the east, Lihu Lake in the north, and Taihu Lake in the south and was named a national wetland in 2016.

To protect the wetland ecosystem, a closed management system was adopted at the park, which resulted in the building of fences around the park, making it difficult for local residents to access.

The park's 3.2 kilometers of fences have now been removed, more than 11,000 square meters of trees have been planted, and about 14,000 sq m of lawn has been paved in the park. More footpaths and passageways have also been built in the park.
