During the opening ceremony, Guo Guangcan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, emphasized the importance of developing domestic quantum computers that can be directly applied to various sectors of the national economy.

A highlight of the conference was the release of an advanced computing platform that integrates quantum and supercomputing. The platform is the first of its kind in China.

Origin Quantum, a quantum computing company based in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, collaborated with the National Supercomputing Center in Zhengzhou to unveil this platform during a sub-forum.

The conference also hosted the award ceremony for the 2nd CCF Sinan Cup Quantum Computing Programming Challenge. The competition attracted close to 1,000 teams from over 260 colleges and universities worldwide, and culminated with 217 teams receiving awards.
