Built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420), Tianning Temple in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, is an important part of the Yangzhou section of the Grand Canal and was listed as a world heritage site in 2014.

Dubbed "the little Imperial Palace in the Jiangnan region (the area south of the Yangtze River)", the temple boasts enormous ancient buildings.
