Five consensuses were reached at the International Conference on the 100th Anniversary of the Discovery of "Ordos Tooth", which was held in Uxin Banner of Ordos city on Aug 14-16.

The "Ordos Tooth" people inhabited the Salawusu site in the Salawusu River basin of Uxin Banner from 50,000 to 100,000 years ago during the Paleolithic era.

According to the conference, the Salawusu site is a key national cultural relic protection unit and a construction project of a "national archaeological site park". It is the first discovery of human fossils and scientific excavation in the Paleolithic archaeological sites in China and even East Asia. It is also an important root of human civilization and a common cultural heritage of mankind.

Based on the unique advantages of the Salawusu site in the research of human migration and paleobiology evolution, efforts should be made to carry out comprehensive investigative work, strengthen the system of archaeological excavation, and engage in more geological paleobiological research.

An international academic conference should be held every five years, and additional conferences can be convened as needed, further consolidating and enhancing the scientific value of the site.

Meanwhile, efforts should be made to increase the protection and management of the Salawusu site. With the Salawusu Site Museum and the Ordos Tooth Cultural Research Center as the basis, construction of the Salawusu National Archaeological Site Park should be accelerated.

Moreover, efforts should be made to actively cooperate with high-level research institutions abroad and relevant domestic scientific research institutions, conduct interdisciplinary research, and collectively enhance the international influence of Ordos Tooth Culture. Emphasis should be placed on the training of research talents and the reserve of backup talents, promoting sustainable development.

Additionally, a comprehensive review of the 100-year archaeological data and research process of the Salawusu site should be conducted, actively applying for the dual heritage of world nature and culture, making the site an important basis for exploring the root of Eastern human civilization, enhancing the historical consciousness of the Chinese nation, and consolidating the foundation of Chinese cultural confidence.
