The National Development and Reform Commission recently released the list of national logistics hub construction for 2023. Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, has been included as a national trade service logistics hub.

This signifies that Xi'an has completed the layout of the four types of national logistics hubs, including land port, airport, production service, and trade service.

Xi'an was also included in the new batch of 25 national backbone cold-chain logistics bases in June this year. With this achievement, Xi'an has become China's first comprehensive logistics hub city with four types of national logistics hubs and one logistics base.

The primary function of Xi'an's trade service national logistics hub is to provide logistics support services such as intermodal transportation and warehousing and distribution for daily consumer goods, including e-commerce products, food and medicine, grain and oil, household appliances, and cold-chain ingredients.

It also offers trading services for production materials such as aviation accessories, bulk materials, and electromechanical products required by the aviation industry and equipment manufacturing.

In addition, the extended service functions of the hub include aviation manufacturing, import and export trade services for vehicles, bonded logistics, cross-border e-commerce, emergency material supply, and digital supply chain platform services.
