Airlines' passenger transports hit monthly record high in July

The scale of civil aviation passenger transports hit a monthly record high in July, ThePaper reported on Monday.

In terms of demand, the passenger turnover of Air China, China Eastern Airlines and Juneyao Air more than doubled in July from the same period last year.

The passenger turnover of Spring Airlines increased by nearly 60 percent year-on-year with demand for international routes having recovered sharply from a year earlier.

In terms of transport capacity, Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Juneyao Air and Spring Airlines' passenger transport capacity investment increased by more than 1 times, nearly 90 percent, and over 60 and 30 percent, respectively.

Spring Airlines increased by nearly 65 times year-on-year in passenger transport capacity investment on international routes.

In terms of passenger load factor, Spring Airlines was the highest, reaching 92.3 percent, up more than 13.78 percentage points year-on-year.

Juneyao Airlines reached 87.26 percent, with the highest year-on-year increase of more than 16 percentage points.

The data of the first half of the summer holiday in July were in line with expectations, and the airlines are confident about this year's performance.
