In the 1920s, a world-renowned archaeological site known as the "Ordos Tooth" site was discovered in Uxin Banner of Ordos city, capturing global attention.

The "Ordos Tooth" living at the site date back 100,000 to 50,000 years to the Paleolithic era, effectively bridging the gap between Peking Man and Upper Cave Man.

These ancient dwellers mastered mature hunting techniques, proficiently used fire, shared cooked food, possessed highly advanced stone tool crafting skills, and nurtured their own distinct culture, composing a glorious chapter in the annals of human history.

Their profound understanding and use of the ecological environment and natural resources, along with their spirit of facing risks and overcoming challenges, imbued them with the "Ordos gene".

Ordos city, rooted in history but embracing the future, has become a shining example of combing the "Ordos Tooth" spirit with China's modernization.

Nurtured here is the spirit of "self-reliance and hard work" in the pastoral area. In the Mu Us Desert, 80 percent of the area is now covered in greenery, marking a historic reversal from "sand advancing, people retreating" to "green advancing, sand retreating".

Nurtured here is also the Kubuqi spirit of "watching out for each other, persevering, scientific innovation, and shared prosperity".

A 115-kilometer desert road has been built in the heart of the wilderness in the Kubuqi Desert, embodying the indomitable "spirit of perseverance ".

Now, more than 6,000 square kilometers of the Kubuqi Desert have been covered in green, with the number of plant and animal species there increasing from over 100 to more than 530. It has become a "green calling card" for China's efforts in desertification control.

In the course of monumental changes and development, the people of Ordos, with the spirit of "leading the way", have erected monuments of innovation and responsibility on the grasslands and in the deserts. They have embarked on a magnificent journey toward modernization.

The world's first net-zero industrial park has been completed and put into operation in Ordos; and construction has started on the largest wind and solar power base project built in the desert and Gobi areas.

Ordos is attracting global attention with unprecedented reforms, showcasing the vibrant spirit of a new era. It contributes to international desertification control with the "Ordos Plan", pioneers innovation-driven development in resource-based cities with the "Ordos Path", and is building a benchmark for promoting common prosperity based on the "Ordos Standard".
