4 SND bio-pharmaceutical businesses listed as potential landmarks

Four bio-pharmaceutical companies in Suzhou New District, East China's Jiangsu province, recently made the list of 17 potential landmark enterprises in Suzhou.

Zumax Medical Co focuses on stomatology and its core product is dental operating microscopes whose optics and key mechanical performance indicators have reached advanced international levels. Its products occupy 50 percent of that market in China.

Neo Modulus (Suzhou) Medical Sci-Tech Co produces regenerative implanted medical devices and its self-developed gelatin-polycaprolactone layered gum repair membrane is the first high-end medical device in China that is used to treat gingival atrophy and periodontal tissue expansion.

Suzhou Powersite Electric Co is one of the companies in China with the most complete products in the field of X-ray high voltage generator and its self-developed CT high voltage generators and mobile DR high voltage generators have filled related the gaps in China.

magAssist is dedicated to constructing a life support platform for multiple organ failure and has developed the first external maglev artificial heart in China.

The bioengineering and pharmaceutical industry is the most important industry in Suzhou and the SND is the only area that receives support from the provincial government to develop the medical device industry.

The district will focus on cultivating new innovative businesses, improving investment attraction, and promoting independent innovation.
