Zhangjiakou, located in the northwest of Hebei province, has been playing a vital role in fostering sustainable energy industries.

The city is abundant in wind and solar resources, boasting a wind power capacity of over 40 million kilowatts and a solar power capacity that exceeds 30 million kilowatts.

With a cumulative installed capacity of 28.3 million kilowatts in renewable energy, Zhangjiakou adopts a resource-driven approach to attract multiple new energy equipment manufacturers to establish in its demonstration zone.

Such efforts have promoted the development of multiple industry chains, including wind turbines, photovoltaic components and hydrogen fuel cell engines.
