The construction of roads in Hanggin Banner has not only facilitated travel and logistics, but also brought new opportunities for local tourism development.

Hanggin Banner is located in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, with many areas within the scope of China's seventh-largest desert, Kubuqi.

The total road mileage within the jurisdiction of Hanggin Banner is approximately 5,165 kilometers, of which the desert-crossing road reaches up to 930 km.

With the construction of desert roads, the sandy land along the roads and those hard-to-reach areas in the past have been treated for ecological restoration.

Now when driving along the road, with the golden dunes running continuously on both sides, motorists can see green vegetation for the purpose of sand fixation and wind prevention extending into the distance.

The banner has become a paradise for off-road enthusiasts from all over the country due to its convenient desert roads.

With the arrival of the summer hoidays, Yemingsha Hotel in the banner has seen an increase in tourist numbers, despite being located in the heart of the Kubuqi Desert.

"The hotel has received an average of over 1,000 visitors per day, and its revenue has been increasing each year," said general manager Hao Jiwen.
