Spend a weekend in Wuxi's Hongshan subdistrict

Hongshan subdistrict in Wuxi New District, Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, recently kicked off the 2023 Grape Culture and Tourism Season.

Reputed as the Jiangnan region's Turpan of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Hongshan is very suitable for growing grapes.

Different varieties of grapes grown in the subdistrict were on display at the opening ceremony. In addition, the subdistrict has other delicacies, including pork's head meat, mutton soup, fried vegetables and meat, wheat cake, and tofu pudding.

Abundant in tourist attractions, Hongshan is definitely a preferred weekend outing for local residents.

The Taibo Scenic Area displays the culture and folk customs of the Wu area 3,000 years ago, the Hongshan Museum exhibits the cultural relics that date back more than 2,000 years, the Chinese Decorative Stone Park is the largest of its kind in East China, and the Lianghong National Wetland Park boasts vast rivers, forest, grassland, and flocks of water birds.
