Sailors converge on Dalian for national event

A national sailing event was held in Dalian, Liaoning province, from July 14 to 17, attracting more than 100 competitors from sailing teams and clubs across the country.

During the four-day event, sailors displayed their expertise in the southern coastal area of Dalian, featuring beautiful coastal scenery and favorable sailing conditions.

In recent years, Dalian has focused on the development of marine sports. Last week’s event, which was jointly organized by the Chinese Yachting Association, the Federation of University Sports of China and the Dalian sports bureau, marked the first national sailing event held in waters near the city’s downtown.
