Salawusu Site gives glimpse of Paleolithic human remains

The Salawusu Site is the first batch of human remains from the Paleolithic Period covered and identified in China with reliable stratigraphic and chronological bases.

In 1922-1923, French scholars Emile Licent and Pierre Teilhard de Chardin discovered and excavated the Salawusu Site during a scientific expedition in the Salawusu River region of Northwest China. Check the video to learn more!
