Taizhou promotes summer tourism

The city of Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province recently launched a tourism festival on July 13 to stimulate the consumption potential of its cultural tourism market as the summer season progresses.

The organizers unveiled about 40 cultural tours in four categories: night fair carnivals, parent-child travel and study trips, sightseeing, and fruit picking.

Four travel routes for children were also recommended at the event, which will provide them more travel options during their summer holiday.

A group of scenic spots in Taizhou like the Fengcheng River Scenic Area, the Qinhu National Wetland Park, and Huangqiao Ancient Town announced that they are offering free admissions during the tourism festival. Some local hotels are also providing discounts for visitors.

The Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone, or Gaogang district, also recommended some tourist routes. In recent years, the zone has focused on promoting all-for-one tourism, project construction and brand building.

To attract more tourists to Taizhou, local culture and tourism departments, along with several scenic areas, signed cooperation agreements with travel service providers to further improve tour promotions, product designs, and transport for visitors.
