A Boeing 737-300F departed Sunan Shuofang International Airport in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on July 17 for Incheon International Airport in South Korea, marking the launch of the first international all-cargo route at Shuofang airport.

The rapid development of e-commerce giants and the constantly increasing demand of customers in different countries have brought a great challenge to the efficiency and cost of logistics.

"The new freight route will offer more efficient and convenient transportation to manufacturing and foreign trade enterprises in southern Jiangsu, which are the priority of the Wuxi-Incheon flight," said Pan Hongbin at Sunan International Cargo Airlines Co Ltd.

He added that Incheon is an important distribution center of electronic parts and components in East Asia and the new flight will further promote the development of similar distribution centers in the Yangtze River Delta.

There are four cargo flights per week, a number expected to increase to six per week. With a maximum load of 14 metric tons, the Wuxi-Incheon flight is capable of delivering fresh food, special goods, and hazardous articles, according to Pan.

Sunan International Cargo Airlines Co Ltd will continue its all-cargo service and gradually launch all-cargo flights to countries in Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia, including Japan, Vietnam, and Singapore, as well as important cities in China.
