Xi'an listed among global top 500 AI innovative cities

Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, recently ranked 23rd in the Top 500 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovative Cities in the World.

The list was released by AMiner, a science and technology intelligence big data platform, at the China International Digital and Software Service Fair 2023 held in Dalian, Northeast China's Liaoning province.

According to the report, the global top 500 cities in AI innovation are spread across 57 countries, with 27 countries having four or more cities on the list.

In the top 100 cities, China has 19 cities listed, with Beijing and Shanghai, as China's first-tier cities, ranking among the top 10 in the AI innovation index.

Xi'an achieved an innovation index of 83.36, placing it 23rd globally.

In recent years, Xi'an has accelerated the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy and made solid progress in constructing the national pilot zone for the innovative development of the new generation of AI.

Currently, Xi'an is home to over 150 AI-related enterprises and more than 20 research institutes, showcasing its burgeoning AI industry. The city has achieved remarkable results in building a technological innovation system, cultivating innovative talents, and expanding the application of integrated development.

With its strong pool of talent, research institutions, and government support, Xi'an is poised to advance further in artificial intelligence and contribute to the overall growth of China's AI industry.
