As a cultural and tourism city, Tai'an in Shandong province has always prioritized green and low-carbon development as a core component in promoting new industrialization. A series of intelligent, green, and informational technology transformations are being implemented in the city to achieve the environmentally friendly goal of its economy.

For example, in the production workshop of the new energy prefabricated substation project of Shandong Taikai Prefabricated Substation Co, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Taikai Group Co, stands several large boxes, which are box-type substations that integrate low voltage equipment, high voltage equipment, and transformer. They can increase the low pressure produced by new energy sources to a high pressure of 38.5 kV, according to Liu Jianping, CEO of Shandong Taikai Prefabricated Substation Co.

To date, the project has completed the investment of 1.12 billion yuan ($156.12 million) and added eight new production lines, which can help produce 12,000 units of new energy-prefabricated substation equipment annually.

Sticking to the principle of building a "green" factory, Shandong Road New Materials Co has also been beefing up efforts to build digital workshops, intelligent plants, and develop a specialized industrial internet platform system, according to Liang Xunmei, CEO of the company.

Amidst increasing number of companies actively promoting green and low-carbon transformation and upgrades, Tai'an has achieved high-quality development and witnessed continuous improvements in its ecological environment. Statistics showed that the indicators of environmental quality, such as water, air, and soil, in Tai'an, have significantly improved compared to the previous year.
