Fuyang district of Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, has been working to become a real-life version of the famous painting Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains guided by the strategy of "making full use of eight advantages and implementing eight major measures", also known as the "Eight-Eight Strategy", local media reported.

The strategy, initiated 20 years ago in order to accelerate the construction of a moderately prosperous society and achieve the goal of socialist modernization, has played a vital role in the development of the province.

Fuyang is the place depicted in Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains (Fuchun Shanju Tu), which is a legendary work by Huang Gongwang (1269-1354), a highly acclaimed painter of the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368).

A symposium on the "Eight-Eight Strategy" and the theory of the modern version of the classic painting was recently held in Fuyang. Experts and scholars from Beijing, Shanghai, and other provinces gathered along the banks of the Fuchun River to discuss the inherent logic behind the "Eight-Eight Strategy" and the modern version of the artwork.

With their research findings serving as the basis, they provided theoretical support and practical guidance for the depiction of the modern version of the Fuchun Shanju Tu in Fuyang.

During the symposium, Fuyang introduced its 20-year implementation of the "Eight-Eight Strategy" and the construction of a modern version of the Fuchun Shanju Tu, as they exemplify high-quality development and the pursuit of common prosperity.
