The signing ceremony for 20 new economy projects worth 4.5 billion yuan ($690 million) took place recently at the inauguration of a new economy industrial park in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone.

Fifty enterprises from high-tech fields -- including artificial intelligence, biomedicines, information security, energy conservation and environmental protection -- participated.

Officials said the signing ceremony and the projects will help boost business between upstream and downstream enterprises.

They said the industrial park aims to promote the upgrading of local industry and will provide consultations for the development of the enterprises.
