The Botanical Garden of Dayangshan National Forest Park [Photo/IC]
Dayangshan National Forest Park is located at the center of Suzhou New District. It enjoys convenient transportation at an advantageous geographical location. With a total area of 111 hectares, its Botanical Garden is the largest one in Suzhou and is also known as the “Suzhou Botanical Garden”.
It consists of two sections respectively in the north and south. The northern part focuses on scientific education of plants, which contains a garden of fruits, a science museum and a calamus teahouse. The southern part is for entertainment, with more than 13,000 plants from more than 320 categories. Among them are rare and endangered species, such as Chinese yews, rosewood and Japanese podocarpus marcophyllus.
Highlights of the garden include an exhibition greenhouse, a science museum, Yangyang Pasture and Linquanli Ecological Water Street. Combining a variety of services, including homestay, dining and entertainment, the garden aims to provide tourists with a good travel experience.
