Home to a plethora of historical sites, Huishan Ancient Town is deemed an "open air history museum" for the Wu culture. Inside the town lies a cluster of well-preserved ancestral halls that span more than 1,000 years, witnessing the rise and fall of ancient dynasties. Its 108 ancestral halls are of high architectural, cultural and genealogical value.

Another must-visit attraction is Huishan Spring, or "the second-best spring" certified by ancient Chinese tea sage Lu Yu due to the clean and sweet spring water there.

Over the past 1,000 years, the awe-inspiring Huishan Spring has led to a great many literary and artistic works. The most famous one is an erhu song Moon Reflection over the Second Best Spring, or Er Quan Ying Yue, composed by legendary blind street musician A Bing in the 1930s.

Today, local authorities have breathed new life into the town by restoring historic scenes and staging art performances. The top-rated scenic spot has become a name card for Wuxi, and attracts a multitude of tourists every year.
