Measures taken to stabilize employment

A series of measures have been taken to stabilize employment as China welcomes graduation season, Beijing Youth Daily reported on Monday.

Beijing proposed 15 measures to promote overall stability in employment according to a notice on measures that aim to optimize and adjust stable employment policy to promote development and benefit people's livelihood.

Employment service specialists are equipped to provide services such as job collection and employment guidance to enterprises that use special and sophisticated technologies to produce novel and unique products, and other companies with strong ability to drive employment.

The implementation of policies to issue social insurance subsidies, employment subsidies and vocational training subsidies will make the process more convenient and efficient, combining the process into one step, making one only have to take one trip.

Financial institutions are encouraged to increase the supply of credit to qualified small and micro enterprises to help these enterprises steadily expand the scale of their employment.

College graduates and migrant workers are supported to start their own businesses and the expansion of business start-up guarantee loans is being promoted.

Business start-up guarantee that lenders who encounter temporary difficulties can apply to delay repayment, and more measures are being taken to support innovative employment.

A supply and demand meeting was held for female college students in Hunan province with 159 companies bringing over 5,000 positions. Nearly 2,000 female students from five different universities attended the event and nearly 600 people reached initial employment intention, Hunan Daily reported on Monday.

As of June 24, Hunan province has carried out a total of 16,000 online and offline special job fairs with 90,000 participating enterprises, providing 2.422 million jobs, according to Hunan Daily.

The Ministry of Education and multiple universities have intensively held various online and offline job fairs to help college graduates find jobs.

Over 60,000 positions are provided by joint efforts of universities and enterprises in East China's Jiangxi province.

In July, the National college Student Employment Service platform will also launch special recruitment activities such as "medicine and health industry" and "financial industry" together with relevant departments, CCTV network reported on Monday.
