Sanya People’s Hospital

Sanya People's Hospital is the only comprehensive city-owned 3A-Grade hospital with integrated functions of medical care, first aid, disease prevention, health care, teaching, research and rehabilitation.

Founded in the fall of 1948, the hospital was upgraded to a prefecture-level hospital in 1988, and preliminarily approved as the province’s first 3A-Grade hospital benchmarked to new national standards in October 2012. In December 2012, the provincial health department approved the establishment of the Hainan Province Southern Regional Healthcare Center. Covering a land area of 49,059 square meters, the hospital houses 1,000 approved beds and employs 1,394 staff members. Among them, there are 1,068 medical technicians, 133 senior professionals, three city-level outstanding experts, 10 PhD graduates, and 86 post-graduates. The hospital is equipped with 70 departments, 25 Class-I clinical departments, 12 medical labs, 30 Class-II departments, ICU, and CCU. It also offers services including distant consultation, VIP out-patient and  VIP inpatient services, health checks, rehabilitation therapy, and community medical services.
